AWOS. Request access
Background coding agent · early access

Queue your small tickets tonight. Review finished branches in the morning.

AWOS works through your backlog while you are away. Every ticket runs in its own copy of your repo, gets checked against your tests, and comes back as a review branch with the results attached. It costs cents per ticket, and nothing is ever pushed without you.

How it works

From ticket to review branch, without touching your checkout

You describe the change in a sentence. AWOS does the rest in the background and only interrupts you for a real decision.

1 · queue

Submit a ticket

awos submit adds it to a local queue with a budget cap. Queue as many as you like.

2 · isolate

Own workspace

Each job gets a separate git worktree at your current commit. Your files and branches are never edited.

3 · verify

Checked by tests

AWOS writes acceptance tests from your goal, runs them with your test suite, and records what passed. A secret scan runs before handoff.

4 · review

Branch + report

You get awos/<id> with a short report: tests, cost, time, warnings. Merge it or delete it.

Measured results

What it does on real work

Numbers from our own runs on public open-source issues and realistic multi-step tasks, judged by hidden tests the agent never saw.

Hidden tests passed on an app built from a spec

An 8-feature finance tracker written from an empty folder in 8.8 minutes for $0.16. Six of six long tasks solved in total.

Easy issues solved by a free local model

Qwen3.5 9B running on a 16 GB MacBook, no cloud and $0 per ticket, for routine work.

Local-model check, 2026-10

These are results on public projects with one run per task, so your results will vary with your codebase and tests. A head-to-head study against another open-source agent on the same model is in progress; we will publish it either way.

Docs

Get started in five minutes

Five commands take you from a ticket to a review branch. The docs cover the workflow, the safety model and every command.

Security and privacy

Built to run unattended on code you care about

  • Runs on your machineThe worker, queue and logs live on your computer. There is no AWOS cloud holding your code.
  • Never touches your checkoutSeparate worktree per job; results arrive as a local branch.
  • Nothing is pushedYou decide what to merge and push.
  • Secret scan on every handoffA branch is blocked if the diff contains a credential.
  • Local-only mode--privacy local_only blanks cloud keys for that job, so it can only use your local model.
  • Hard budgetsEvery job has a dollar cap, counted by AWOS from its own model calls.
